The following terms and conditions apply to all moving and storage services provided by Safe & Sound Storage within the United States.

Service Scope

Safe & Sound Storage offers professional moving and storage services, including local and interstate residential, office, and commercial relocations. All services are conducted by skilled personnel and subject to the details specified in the individual contract agreement.

Responsibilities of the Company

  • The company will safely transport client goods from the origin to the designated destination or storage facility.
  • Reasonable precautions will be taken to protect and handle all items during loading, transport, and unloading.
  • Insurance options are available and must be discussed prior to the moving date.
  • The company reserves the right to refuse transport of prohibited, hazardous, or illegal items.

Responsibilities of the Customer

  • Customers must provide accurate information regarding the items to be moved, access points, and any relevant restrictions (such as elevator or parking limitations).
  • Items must be packed securely, unless the customer requests professional packing services.
  • Any items of exceptional value (jewelry, important documents, cash, etc.) must be disclosed and, if required, transported separately.
  • Payment must be made as specified in the contract; additional charges may apply for extra services or unforeseen circumstances (such as additional labor or changes in the move date).

Payment Terms

  1. A non-refundable deposit may be required to secure the moving date, with the remaining balance due upon completion of the move or as otherwise agreed.
  2. Accepted payment methods include credit/debit cards, checks, and electronic transfers.
  3. Cancellations must be communicated in advance; late cancellation fees may apply as described in the contract.

Liability and Claims

  1. Safe & Sound Storage is not liable for damage to items packed by the customer unless gross negligence is proven.
  2. All claims for loss or damage must be reported within a specified period, typically within 7 days following delivery or storage.
  3. Coverage for lost or damaged items is limited to the insurance options selected by the customer.

Storage Terms

  • Items stored with Safe & Sound Storage must be properly labeled and listed in the inventory provided at the time of storage.
  • Storage fees are calculated monthly and subject to timely payment as agreed in the contract.
  • Access to stored items may require advance notice and may incur an access fee, depending on the facility’s policy.

Force Majeure

  • The company is not responsible for delays or failure to perform services due to events beyond its control, such as natural disasters, strikes, or government restrictions.

Dispute Resolution

  • Any disputes arising under this agreement will be settled through negotiation, and if unresolved, may proceed to arbitration in accordance with the laws of the state where the contract is executed.
